The AGAT Foundation supports various projects of its own and other charities. Individuals and corporations can work through the AGAT Foundation, a registered charity, or directly with each of the linked charities that the AGAT Foundation supports and endorses.

The AGAT Foundation Charity Classic has evolved into a fundraising event dedicated to bringing “Patient Financial Assistance and Support “ to cancer patients in our local communities across Alberta .
With the help of loyal supporters and generous donors, over $1.37 Million in net proceeds have been raised for the Alberta Cancer Foundation “Patient Financial Assistance Program and Patient Navigator Program”
The AGAT Foundation, in partnership with the Alberta Cancer Foundation, is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of uniting Albertans through the Charity Classic and Neighbours Helping Neighbours initiative. This annual fundraising effort has become a cornerstone in supporting cancer patients across Alberta, focusing on easing the financial burdens that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.
With over $1.5 million raised annually, these funds go directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s Patient Financial Assistance Program, helping patients cover essential costs such as medications, medical supplies, travel, accommodations, and childcare.
The AGAT Foundation, together with its valued partners, proudly funded the new Mental Wellness Clinic at the Prostate Cancer Centre (PCC) in Calgary, furthering its commitment to advancing men’s health.
This continued partnership reflects a shared dedication to providing critical resources for patients and their families, ensuring greater access to mental health support alongside leading cancer care.
Every year, more than 2,000 surgeries and 8,000 dental treatments are performed free of charge for people living in poverty in Africa. This medical care is made possible by the donations we receive and the commitment of 1,600 volunteers who have been joining us on humanitarian aid missions every year for over 40 years!
To carry out these missions, we use a fleet of civilian hospital ships: the Africa Mercy and the Global Mercy.
One of the largest comprehensive cancer centres in North America is coming to life in Calgary this very second. Concrete walls rising to the big prairie sky will shelter 1.3 million square feet of world-leading cancer care, research and education.
The Alberta Cancer Foundation, the University of Calgary, and Alberta Health Services are partnering together with one mission — to raise $250 million in support of improved cancer research, treatment and care at the new Calgary Cancer Centre when it opens its doors in 2023.
We continue to support the Smile train by having donated $25,000 thus far to help fund cleft lip surgeries in developing countries.
Since inception, Smile Train has supported more cleft surgeries than all other global charities combined. Smile Train has always championed partnering directly with local hospitals to strengthen health systems and empower local medical professionals to offer surgical services and comprehensive cleft care to children in their own communities.
We donated to and sponsored the Special Olympics Golf Tournament. Special Olympics Canada is dedicated to enriching the lives of Canadians with an intellectual disability through sport.
Our vision is that sport will open hearts and minds towards people with intellectual disabilities and create inclusive communities all across Canada.
The AGAT Foundation continues to champion men’s health through its partnership with the MAN VAN™. In November 2024, the Foundation launched a $350,000 matching campaign that helped fund a third MAN VAN™, expanding free prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing for men over 40 across Alberta. AGAT has also hosted the MAN VAN™ at community events and, through the Movember 2019 Know Your Numbers program, supported screenings for blood pressure, blood sugar, waist circumference, and stress. With three MAN VANs, the Foundation is driving early detection and proactive health care across the province.
At the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), our vision is a world where no one fears cancer. With the support of our volunteers and donors, we improve and save lives by taking a comprehensive approach to our work against more than 100 types of cancer.
We helped support Leftovers, a local non-for-profit group that uses community volunteers to redirect unused food from major restaurants and food retailers to food agencies that feed those in need create a mobile app that will help them expand their reach.
AARCS (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society) is a grassroots animal welfare organization based in Alberta. Our goal is to help homeless animals in our community and enact societal change, so that we may all witness a Compassionate World for All Animals.
We have made significant donations to the Salvation Army over the holiday seasons in hopes to help them deliver food basksets to Canadian families in need.
Locally, our laboratories host their own food drives and support local food banks during the holidays.
Food Banks Canada is a national charitable organization dedicated to helping Canadians living with food insecurity. We support a network of Provincial Associations, affiliate food banks, and food agencies that work at the community level to relieve hunger. Our work is focused on maximizing collective impact, strengthening local capacity, and reducing the need for food banks.
World Vision is a global relief, development and advocacy organization. They partner with children, families and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
Muscular Dystrophy Canada provides Programs and Services, Research and Advocacy to support people affected by neuromuscular disorders. Neuromuscular disorders are defined as health conditions that are caused by spelling changes in the genetic code (mutations) or changes in the autoimmune system that in turn impact muscles and/or the nerves that connect to muscles. Muscular dystrophies are a group of disorders and are one type of neuromuscular disorder. Other types of neuromuscular disorders also under MDC’s umbrella include myopathies, neuromuscular junction disorders, peripheral neuropathies and lower motor neuron disorders.
