New AGAT Foundation Funding Initiatives in Quebec and Ontario
We are pleased to announce new funding initiatives by the AGAT Foundation in Quebec and Ontario.
The AGAT Foundation was able to provide funds for the purchase of intra-operative ultrasound equipment for The Montreal Children’s Hospital. Ultrasound guidance offers a non-invasive technique to help assess areas for inserting lines to administer anesthesia or perform blood transfusions. This equipment is very important in improving pediatric patient care thereby increasing surgery success rates, shortening operating times, and reducing risks of complications.
< This state-of-the-art equipment enables The Children’s experts to provide exceptional care to young patients like Agathe, who underwent 18 operations, including open heart surgery, before her first birthday.
France de Brienne, Director of Operations, Environmental Division, is pictured here presenting a cheque in the amount of $45,000 to Suzanne Korf, Senior Director, Development, The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
